Yesterday all servers in the U.S. went out on strike in a bid to get more RAM and better CPUs. A spokes person said that the need for better RAM was due to some fool increasing the front-side bus speed. In future, busses will be told to slow down in residential motherboards.

LanWarriors updates on the horizon!

It's been a while since we've had anything really new and sadly our members' lack of visits echoes this.  With this in mind, we're working hard on the following projects:

  • Re-linking the Teamspeak module
  • Addition of an "After-Action Reporter"
      • A picture gallery module (no, really, we are working on this)
      • An overall site sprucing (graphics, layout, colors, etc.)

LanWarriors Account Policy
Written by fergUson
Thursday, 19 October 2006

Hi all,

I just thought that I would  throw a quick blurb out there describing the LanWarriors account policy.  I have seen a number of "guest" logins lately, possibly a result of my latest e-mail asking everyone to check out the LAN party planning thread in the forum.  I found it odd that none of these "guests" have translated into registered accounts so I thought that I would touch on some points that may help get you guys registered.  The LAN party planning thread may only be viewed by registered accounts, so you guys read on then get on it!

LanWarriors, started up by Guyver nearly a year ago, is used strictly for keeping up with the Daytona NetGamez crew (past and present). As such, we do not register anyone that is not affililated with this group; only Daytona NetGamerz, friends and family may obtain an account.  Our apologies to the average 'netizen' (thanks for the word, Trogdor) for this policy.  You can be assured that if you receive an invite for a LanWarriors registration you will be one of only a few "locals" that will have anything other than guest access.

That being said, as most of us are "computer industry" types we should all know that we do not post anything that we hold sacred in forums or in our profiles (eg. SSNs).  I would encourage everyone to use "second-tier" e-mail accounts (Hotmail, G-Mail, LanWarriors) in your profiles and not put your real name and birthdate if you are not comfortable with providing such information.

I would like to thank the Daytona NetGamez crew (past, present, and future) for your support and especially Lord Guyver for bringing LanWarriors on-line.  We hope to see you all at the next event and get freaking registered already!
